The Chicken Soup Conspiracy: A Hospital Comedy

Joe was in the hospital, recovering from a bout of the flu, and it was finally lunchtime. As the hospital worker wheeled in his tray, Joe’s eyes narrowed suspiciously at the steaming bowl of chicken soup placed before him. He wrinkled his nose in distaste.

“I don’t like chicken soup,” Joe declared, his voice carrying a hint of defiance. “Can’t you bring me something else?”

The hospital worker, a cheerful woman with a perpetual smile plastered on her face, shook her head sympathetically. “I’m sorry, sir, but this is what’s on the menu today. And besides, it’s good for you! The doctor specifically prescribed it to help you get better.”
